Assam Polytechnic PAT 2021 Application Form has been extended till 20th July 2021. It is a state level entrance exam which is organized by the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam (DTE, Assam). Examination is organized only once in a year for admission into diploma polytechnic courses. Through Assam PAT, candidates will be offered admission in Engineering & Non-Engineering courses. What is Assam PAT?
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam conducts Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) for admissions into three-year diploma courses in Engineering and Technology. Allotment of seats will be done based on Assam PAT scores along with other particulars.

Assam PAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates of the General/OBC category should be of 20 years 6 months on December 31, 2021, while Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates should be 23 years 6 months on December 31, 2021.
- Candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as a compulsory subject with 40% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.
- 35% marks in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste Candidates.
- 33% marks in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes Candidates.
- For Institutions outside Assam upper age limit is 20 years 6 months on December 31, 2020
Other Eligibility Rules for Assam PAT 2021
Apart from the academic qualification and age limits, the other eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
- The candidate must be physically and mentally fit. He/ She should produce a fitness certificate at the time of admission which must be approved by a registered medical practitioner.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen and He/ She must be a permanent resident of Assam. The candidate must produce a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) on the day of counselling.
- Sports Quota candidates must be a winner of State Level Game/ State Championship/ Tournaments organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam. The admission will be considered on the basis of medals received. The medals must be received within a period of 3 years.
- Selection under NCC quota will be considered on the basis of NCC Examination Certificate received from the Commanding Officer, National Cadets Corps or higher level.
Assam PAT Application Form 2021
The authorities have released the Assam PAT 2021 application form on May 20 in online mode on the official website. The Assam PAT application process starts with online registration followed by filling the application form through PAT 2021 login. Candidates will also be required to upload their photograph and signature as per specifications in the Assam Polytechnic 2021 application form. The next step requires them to pay the application fee after which, candidates will be able to make final submission of the application form.

Assam PAT 2021 Exam Centres
The authorities has released a list of institutes where Assam Polytechnic exam will be conducted. - Click on the “Submit” tab and move to the application form fee-paying stage

Payment Process
There are two modes of payment: ONLINE and OFFLINE
(i) Online Payments can be made by Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Cards.
(ii) Offline payments can be made at any branch of State Bank of India by printing the generated Bank Challan and depositing the fee amount at any nearby SBI Branch..
Retain Printouts of the receipt generated by State Bank Collect, for future reference. The “State Bank Collect” step is the last step of the application and is required to be completed for successful application process.
Note: (i) Candidates who have successfully completed the above steps can check their status at any time by using the Applicant Login area.
(ii) Payments made/received shall be reflected and updated in the applicant login after receiving payment confirmation from Bank usually within 5-7 days.
No Appication (hard-copy) need to be physically submitted at the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.
